In 2025, Serpentine Primary School is proud to have adopted AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language) as our Languages Other Than English (LOTE) subject. This exciting change reflects our commitment to inclusivity, communication, and providing students with valuable, real-world skills.

Unlike traditional LOTE programs, our classroom teachers lead AUSLAN instruction, ensuring seamless integration into daily learning. They are supported by a specialist organisation that provides ongoing professional development, high-quality resources, and expert guidance. This partnership ensures our staff feel confident and equipped to deliver engaging, effective AUSLAN lessons.
